Wildfire Partners General Rebate Program Is Open!

TIPS for successfully applying for a rebate include:

✅ Did you perform one of the six eligible mitigation tasks?

✅ Are you applying for a rebate for a DIFFERENT mitigation than what you have been rebated for in prior years?

✅ Did you upload and submit your before and after pictures, receipts, itemized invoices, and/or time logs for verification in the rebate portal?

We have step-by-step instructions for submitting a General Rebate claim.

Community Chipping is Back! Applications Open April 1st

Whether you’re a returning Host or thinking about organizing your first event, this is your chance to help your neighborhood reduce wildfire risk while bringing your community together. What’s New This Year? Introducing the Express Application Instead of starting from scratch, you’ll be able to quickly reuse key details from your previous event, saving time and getting your application submitted in just a few minutes. Working Together Toward Wildfire Mitigation in Eastern Boulder County

On March 3, 2026, Wildfire Partners hosted a Collaborative Forum on Wildfire Mitigation Outreach in East Boulder County. A diverse group of partner agencies and organizations came together, united by a shared commitment to wildfire mitigation across eastern Boulder County. Participants shared current outreach efforts, explored opportunities to coordinate, and identified ways to deepen community engagement across the region. The conversation reflected a strong collective drive to build a more fire-resilient eastern Boulder County. We are deeply grateful to all the agencies and fire departments that attended. Their presence, expertise, and dedication to community safety made this forum truly meaningful. We look forward to continuing this important work together.

Youth Crews Making a Difference, One Home at a Time

Last summer, a TEENS, Inc. youth crew helped a Pine Brook Hills homeowner tackle mitigation work she couldn’t manage on her own — clearing pine needles, reducing overgrown vegetation, and removing a hazardous rotting deck. It’s a powerful example of how the Youth Services Program invests in local young people while strengthening Boulder County’s wildfire resilience.

Wildfire Smoke and Your Home: What to Do Before and After a Fire

Wildfire damage doesn’t stop when the flames do. Smoke can infiltrate homes miles from a burn area and leave behind residues that affect air quality for weeks. Our latest blog covers practical steps you can take before and during evacuation to limit smoke infiltration, plus guidance on cleanup and long-term home improvements to reduce smoke impacts in the future.

At our initial presentation of the initiative at the Gold Hill town meeting by community members and Meg Halford from Boulder County, over twenty individuals volunteered to help on fire mitigation. The meeting also drew the largest attendance in several years.” 

“Being a Firewise Community will help us continue our efforts at protecting our community through planning and resource availability. We have received and implemented large and small grants for multi-agency forestry mitigation, goat grazing, home assessments by Wildfire Partners and town volunteer activism.”
