Wildfire Partners’ Hot Tips for Cold Months

A Safe & Happy Holiday Season
Wind is howling outside as I sit to write the final Wildfire Partners newsletter of 2021. So I will leave you all – and end the year – with a couple of our favorite winter (wild)fire tips: 1. Remember to have your chimney cleaned periodically. This should prevent chimney fires and (bonus) reduces pollution by increasing combustion. And best of all, more room in there for Santa! 2. Be sure your fireplace ash is cold to the touch before disposing of it. Wind can, will, and has re-ignited ash – sometimes up to 10 days after it was thought to be cool enough to dispose of.
Happy New Year! We look forward to continuing to partner with you in 2022. – The Wildfire Partners Team
Winter Operations
Our offices are closed until January 3, 2022
Our office has now shifted into winter operations mode. Our normal winter hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday – Thursday.
We have limited capability to do assessments and inspections during the winter months. Just a reminder, that we do not conduct inspections or assessments for the voluntary side of our program with snow on the ground. (For scheduling for building permits, please contact your mitigation specialist). If you have an urgent issue (ie, insurance non-renewal), please call us.
We will resume our normal schedule in April, 2022.
