Gold Hill Elementary School
Nestled in the heart of town, Gold Hill Elementary is a truly unique public school that combines academic excellence with a deep sense of community. As part of the Boulder Valley School District, this historic two-room schoolhouse offers a warm, inspiring environment where children are known, valued, and supported.
Students learn in multiage classrooms—one for kindergarten through second grade, and another for third through fifth—led by experienced, dedicated teachers. With small class sizes, a creative curriculum, and strong relationships across grade levels, learning here feels both grounded and expansive.
Gold Hill Elementary places a strong emphasis on the arts and experiential learning. Students participate in regular art and music instruction, as well as immersive projects that bring science, history, and language arts to life. Field trips, outdoor learning, and hands-on activities are central to the experience—whether it’s exploring local ecosystems, performing in school musicals, or connecting with the rich history of the town.
Transportation to and from Boulder is available daily via the Climb bus, operated by Via Mobility Services. Many families outside of Gold Hill have used this option to attend the school and enjoy the benefits of a close-knit, mountain learning environment.
Gold Hill Elementary is more than a school—it’s a joyful place to grow.
We invite interested families to come see it for themselves.
