Report on the Town Clean Up – 6-23-18

           All went well!  Many thanks to everyone who helped out – Tony and Bobby Vrba, John and Cherry Sand, Karen Simmons, Toni Shaller, Pam Leland, Chad Miltenberger, Val Crist, Tom Huth, Leslie Finn, Bear and Poppy, Marie for bringing food!, and Max and his machine who came and mashed down the trash dumpster.  If I left anyone out, my apologies – please know you were appreciated. All the County re-cycling people were wonderful and helpful, too.  They took mattresses, hard plastics and hard styrofoam, household hazardous waste, tires, and electronics (very few this year). 

            We seemed to do fine with one dumpster (thanks to Max). We might consider going from 9 to noon next year – we had a lot of downtime.

            I’m really delighted to report that we collected the exact amount of money we needed to pay for the dumpster ($485.00) between those who paid to dump trash and those who donated to get rid of recycling.  

            So, again, thanks everyone for your help – we got rid of a lot of junk!
