Boulder DA Stan Garnett asked me to alert the Gold Hill community of an attempted telephone fraud in our area. You may be receiving calls warning you of a “County Warrant” for your arrest (does not say which county), or of a Federal Warrant out for your arrest on tax evasion charges. In both cases they leave the same phone number to call: 714-551-0062. The first one is a woman who appears to be native English speaker; the second one calls himself Officer Harry Jones and has a very heavy accent.

Do not return the calls but report it to the Boulder DA’s Office.
