Our New School Teacher

Posted on: July 31st, 2013

Greetings to the Gold Hill Community!

My name is Natalie Littlefield, but most people call me Mishie. I am so excited to share with you that I am the new K12 teacher at the Gold Hill School. I am thrilled by the opportunity to contribute to the rich history for which the school is known.

I recently graduated with a Master of Elementary Education degree from Regis University. My start in education began five years ago as the supervisor of the School Age Care (SAC) program at Douglass Elementary in Boulder. I absolutely loved SAC and its recreational environment, but decided that my higher calling was in the classroom.

Prior to working in education I worked in business management and practiced massage therapy. I managed destination spas, restaurants and consulted to the service industry. I loved the work but wanted to explore my talents as an educator. Teaching is a family profession and one through which I am able to share my love of life and learning with our future great minds!

My husband Zach and I moved to Sunshine five years ago and purchased the Old Forest Jones Cabin on County Road 83. Many of you know the amazing effort that two of your Gold Hill residents put in to an incredible restoration of this property.  My husband and I are so blessed to share this incredible home and are absolutely in love with these mountains.  We love to spend weekends relaxing with our neighbors and walking our dog. My husband serves as the Four Mile Fire Crew Boss and I volunteer with Sunshine Fire.

I am looking forward to becoming a more integral part of the special communities served by the Gold Hill School and meeting those fortunate enough to join me in calling the area home.

I will be at the schoolhouse all this week and invite you to pop by to say hello!

With Gratitude,

Mishie, aka Natalie Littlefield
