Gold Hill was established in 1859 as the first permanent mining camp in the Colorado mountains. With an elevation of 8,300 ft, it is an easy drive 9 miles west of Boulder via Mapleton Ave/Sunshine Canyon. Enjoy a stroll down Main Street and take in the beauty of times gone by. Businesses to visit include the Gold Hill General Store (http://goldhillgeneralstore.com/), the Red Store featuring pottery & stained glass and the Gold Hill Inn (http://www.goldhillinn.com) open for dinner at 5pm. Gold Hill also boasts Colorado’s oldest running school, a History Museum and a unique spirit that has endured for years. Please join us for this celebration of survival, culture and a very special sense of Community!! This event is FREE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
