Dear Gold Hill,

Thank you so much for attending our 150th Anniversary events last weekend.  It was so special to have so many people show up to celebrate our school.  We may be small, but Gold Hill is mighty.  We are incredibly proud of our 150 year school legacy, and we can’t thank our community enough for the last 150 years of support.  Gold Hill is special, and many news outlets took notice.  Check out the press!

We were also featured in History Colorado’s weekly mailer, and will be featured again in the Daily Camera on September 24th in Silvia Pettem’s In Retrospect column.  

The proceeds for the weekend are still coming in, and are similar to that of a typical Fall Fiesta.  However, there were a good deal of expenses for the weekend as well.  If you’re able to donate, we would be appreciative.  You can always send a check or drop off cash.  You can also donate via PayPal at: https://www.goldhillschool.com/ or use Venmo: @Goldhilschoolpto All donations are tax exempt, and we’d be happy to supply a receipt.  We also have some great new merchandise, so come by and pick up a t-shirt or sweatshirt!  

Finally, on Sunday afternoon, we had a presentation at the museum and school about the school’s history with a focus on the teachers and their stories.  Here is a copy of that presentation.  It’s full of fun links and videos to peruse.  There are sure to be errors- so sorry.  If you have info/stories/photos that you think would be helpful to add, please pass them along to Chrissy!
