Notes on the Fire Board Meeting on October 18, 2012 by Gretchen Diefenderfer

Next Board Meeting will be Thursday, November 15, 2012, 7:00 p.m. at the Community Center.

Present were board members Donal Maloney and Dave Sturtz, plus Chief Chris Finn, and community members Leslie Finn and Gretchen Diefenderfer.  A quorum for the Fire Board is 3 members. After trying to reach another member, the meeting was eventually cancelled at 7:15.

While waiting, Chris reported that he would submit the budget for next year at the November meeting for Board consideration.   The Board will need to meet in December as well in order to complete the budget process before the end of the year.

He also reported that he would be talking to our neighboring fire district people about the SCBA they use so we will match up and then will get bids.

Adriana Galue has resigned from the board due to too many commitments, so they will need another board member.  Leslie and Gretchen both indicated their willingness to serve on the board.  This will be taken up at the Nov. board meeting.
