Still have needs related to the Fourmile Fire in 2010?

The Town Meeting voted at the December meeting (restated at the February meeting) to allocate another $3,000 of our Fire Fund to be distributed to any Community members still in need from the fire, using the protocols set up originally.  After this dispersal, the remaining funds will be in a fund renamed the Gold Hill Relief Fund basically for community members suffering from emergencies, disaster, or extraordinary needs, protocols still to be developed.

The protocols for the Fire Fund are: funds are to be disbursed to Gold Hill Town Meeting residents with needs related to the fire with a cap of $500.00 to any individual.   The Town Council was designated to disburse these funds.  To make a request, call or email any member of the Town Council:

The person you call will confer with two other Council members and make a decision.  The goal is to make this money available quickly, confidentially, without a lot of hard criteria, out of the generosity with which it was given, for people who have fire related needs (broadly interpreted).  Please explain in writing.  Here is a request form:
