County Assessor’s teams working in the mountain communities

Statement from County Assessor Jerry Roberts:

People in some neighborhoods of our mountain communities may notice Boulder County Assessor Office vehicles driving through their neighborhoods this summer taking pictures and making notes about homes.

These activities are part of our office taking an opportunity during the summer months, when access is good, to update our records with residential property characteristics such as access, view, paving, and photos. We are required by state law to maintain accurate descriptions of properties in Boulder County, and with more accurate data on characteristics, the mathematical models we use to predict property values can be improved.

As always, employees of the Assessor’s Office are doing their best to be cognizant of each homeowner’s privacy. In certain circumstances, where a home is not visible from a public road, our employees may need to enter private roads to take photos and observe the view characteristics. We ask for your indulgence of this project during these summer months.

If you have any questions or concerns about this activity, please call my office at 303-441-3530.

Thank you,

Jerry Roberts
