BEAR SPRAY
In my humble opinion. EVERYBODY in Gold Hill should have this at their back and front door.  I would go as far as saying it should be compulsory.  Bears who have encountered pepper spray are known to go out of their way to avoid humans after the incident.
 I have one at my back door and also have another in the camper at the back of my house.  Bear spray is +/- $50 at REI and Neptune’s in Boulder.
I would be happy to contact suppliers to see if we could organize a bulk discount that might be cheaper if interested persons can email me directly at kiwilassy@nullgmail.com.
 Actually, just heard back from one Alaskan company, willing to sell for $29 each including shipping for orders of 12 or more.
P.S.  I’ve heard that Air Horns are good to have, too.  Gretchen
