Bear Resistant Trash Cans

Posted on: April 20th, 2022
My name is Michelle, I live in Jamestown and I’m a biologist for Parks & Open Space.

Boulder County Parks & Open Space is willing to act as a fiscal agent and steward a grant for communities wishing to reduce human-bear conflicts.  In a nutshell, the County could supply bear-resistant trash cans to residents in need of one. Without knowing much about trash collection in Gold Hill, I thought it was worth a post so we can gauge interest and needs.
Here is a short community survey for Gold Hill residents and neighbors regarding this opportunity
