FEATURED MEETUP! SIGN UP NOW!  Mountain MidLife Dinner, NEXT Friday, March 25, 5:00pm for 5:30pm dinner, Nederland Community Center
Menu: Four flavors of Soups – Clam Chowder, Chicken Tortilla, Mediterranean Vegetable, and Curried Lentil – plus Cheeses, Breads, Mixed Greens Salad, and Fruit Dessert. Please advise us if you have special dietary needs when you make your reservation – important because we provide specialized items based on the number signed up and if others consume them, we may not have enough for those who ordered them.
Cost is $9 under age 60, $5 requested contribution over age 60. Please sign up at the meetup site, reply to this email, or call 303-258-0799. Once you sign up, if you cannot attend, it is very important that you call if your plans change.  Our nonprofit host must pay for all of the food and we do not wish to waste any.

NEW OPPORTUNITY!  Mountain MidLife Liaison. The Board of Nederland Area Seniors, which sponsors the Mountain MidLife (MML) program, invites the MML group to name a liaison to the board to ensure the needs of MML are met and the voice of this group is represented. Please contact Serene at 303-258-0799 or by replying to this email if you would like more information or would like to be considered for this volunteer position.

TONIGHT!  St. Patrick’s Day Celebration with “The Gael”, Thursday, March 17, 6pm-9pm, Very Nice Brewing Company in the shopping mall at Nederland. No cover charge.
Dance a jig to Irish and Celtic music by this local band, including MountainMidLife’s own Mary Joyce on fiddle. OR just listen, chat with friends, and enjoy sampling the local brews (small tastes are $1). You are welcome to bring your own food.

Swing Dance at the Avalon Ballroom with ​a live band​​. Dance lesson 7:00 to 8:00 PM included with the price of admission. Dancing 8:00 to 11:00 PM. Sign up at Meetup site and watch comments posted there for carpool rides from Nederland.
Admission: $15 per person general; $10 students; volunteers free. Children $5 only with responsible adult in charge. Cash or check at the door. Light snacks provided. All ages welcome. No partner or dance experience required. Please wear non-marking shoes. Dress to express yourself. Casual is fine.

NEW!  Stretch Class, Wednesdays, 5pm, Nederland Community Presbyterian Church

Certified Group Exercise Instructor and Personal Trainer Carrie Westcott offers us a gentle stretch class on Wednesdays at 5:00pm, beginning Wednesday, March 9, at the Nederland Community Presbyterian Church, 210 N. Jefferson St.
Classes are open to all levels and will customize for those in attendance. The first six weeks are offered at no charge with a requested free will donation and will continue as a drop-in class for a low fee.

NEW! Financial Literacy Workshops, Thursdays, starting March 24th, 7pm-8pm,Nederland Community Library – FREE

Learn all you need to know about personal financial management in a casual, stress-free environment! Join us for any or all of these workshop seminars- see details at Meetup site. Although the classes are somewhat sequential, you may select any that interest you and fit your schedule. The workshops will be taught by Wes Stiefer. Wes is a former community college professor of accounting and economics and currently owns and operates an income tax and accounting firm in Nederland. Seating is limited, so please register to attend by calling  303-258-1101or emailing Jay Mann at jaymann.ncl@nullgmail.com.

NEW! “Antibiotic Free”, Thursday, March 31, 6pm-7pm, Nederland Community Library – FREE

Fellow Mountain MidLifer and Naturopathic Doctor Gregory Pais, ND, DHANP, presents a free public lecture. Let’s get together, learn about why we want to avoid antibiotics, and show our support for Gregory and this important message. We can continue the discussion elsewhere in town over a snack or beverage afterwards if so inclined!

NEW! “No Girls Allowed” Quilts By Men, Friday, April 1, Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum, Golden, 9:30am carpools depart Ned Comm Ctr. Featuring fabric art quilts by men – 29 of them – this 13th biennial exhibit at the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum in Golden will end soon. We (all genders welcome) plan to visit on Friday, April 1. Admission is $5-6. We can chat over lunch afterwards, possibly at the Old Capitol Grill in downtown Golden, or wherever those in attendance prefer, then stroll along the Riverwalk to enjoy the sculptures before our return in the early afternoon.
Carpools depart Nederland Community Center at 9:30am. This outing relies on six participants signing up (including email and phone, so don’t judge by signups here) by Friday, March 25, including at least one willing to drive carpool.
