I wanted to make sure you all saw FEMA just extended the deadline for all 10 PA areas to submit their Requests for Public Assistance until 10/31. Please see the attached document for more information.

To better assist you in navigating various PA deadlines and policies, FEMA and State Public Assistance just created a toll free hotline that can provide guidance related to PA Policy and eligibility. This hotline is available for other FEMA entities, the State of Colorado, local governmental applicants, and interested private non-profits that provide services of a government nature. This hotline is NOT for the general public at large.

This number is 855-282-5706 and will be operational beginning today and between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. For more information, visit http://www.coemergency.com
This hotline can field questions for the following:

• General eligibility and policy questions;
• Clarifications on who is their PA field contact;
• Questions related to debris and the new Alternative Procedures;
• Contracting and procurement questions.

This hotline should NOT be used for the following:

• What is the status of project worksheets (PW) ;
• When will funding be disbursed;

As a reminder, though many federal offices are closed due to the shutdown, Sen. Udall’s office will be conducting limited operations related to assisting Colorado flood victims and reopening the government
