A quick reminder that there will be a saw safety class this Saturday from 9am – 5pm with the opportunity for an extended class during the Saws and Slaws event on Sunday May 26th.  The morning session is at the Nederland Fire Department classroom and the afternoon field session and Sunday session will be at the Nederland Water treatment plant near the high school.   If you choose to take the extended class – the instructors will be at the Sunday water treatment plant event and will provided one on one instruction on tree falling techniques.

The cost of  the class is $40 for the full day Saturday session and an additional $20 for the Sunday field session.

The class covers basic chainsaw maintenance and operational safety.  The instructors also cover basic tree falling techniques and how to work in groups.  The field portion of the class includes time operating your saw.
