Gold Hill School Mystery Reader

Posted on: March 27th, 2013

Dear Gold Hill Community,

Want to come hang out at the Gold Hill School and interact with the kids in an easy and fun way?  Here’s an opportunity for you!

Every Friday morning at 8:45, the 345 class at the Gold Hill School hosts a “Mystery Reader”.  This reader schedules a Friday morning with me (Chrissy), and then gives me 5 clues that I can share with the kids, hinting at who our reader will be.  The clues are revealed one every day of the week you will read.  Then you come on Friday morning and share a book with us of your choosing.  It’s that easy! And it’s fun!

Some Mystery Readers have read a picture book that they especially enjoy or is special to them for a particular reason, some have read short stories or essays, some have read their own writing, some have decided to dress in costume for their reading.  Any way you shake it, the kids absolutely love being read to by their guest.  I hope you will consider coming and sharing your love of books with the children in our community.  Please email me to schedule a date.

Thank you,

Chrissy McCaul
