A power drop to the old building site is a good idea as it could result in an increase in property value.

Good Morning,

I am a technician for Xcel Energy and have been assigned to the Fourmile Restoration territory. Yesterday we met with a customer on his property to help restore his service. I mentioned to him that Xcel Energy will stop funding the restoration in the area on the second anniversary of the fire. I asked him if he could spread the word with in the community so those that do want to rebuild could at least get on the list of affected residences.

As a reminder, it was decided by Xcel Energy after the fire, to replace all distribution and electrical services, like for like at no cost to our customers, to help alleviate some of the trauma to those affected.

Again, this funding will be cut off on the second anniversary of the fire.

However, if an affected customer, who has not yet started the process of restoring their electrical service, would please call the Builder’s Call Line @ 1-800-628-2121, and fill out an application for service, and write Fourmile Fire on the top of the application, I can place them on the list of affected residences who wish to rebuild.

This way, if for whatever reason, they have not started their rebuild but have plans to, I will at least have them on the restoration list, with supporting documentation that there are plans to rebuild in the future.

These applications must be filled out BEFORE September 6th, 2012. Please forward this email to any and all residences that may be affected. Thank you and it has been my pleasure to work with such a wonderful, resilient community. The spirit of the West lies within all your hearts.
