Chief Chris Finn wants to remind everyone that the Fire Danger is extreme.   There is a total fire ban – no fires, including charcoal grills, no shooting.  See the Digest of 6-22 for restrictions on Forest Service land, which includes no smoking outside!

Chris also wants to remind everyone to call 9-1-1 if you see smoke and to please see if you can figure out what direction it’s coming from.  It may be the High Peak Fire, but he would rather go out and check than miss another potential fire.  The Sheriff has been writing $500 tickets for illegal campfires.  If you hear shooting, call 9-1-1 and a Sheriff will respond.
