The Gold Hill Schoolchildren are participating in a school read-a-thon next Wed-Fri (Feb 29-Mar 3).  All proceeds will go to support the Colorado Mountain Ranch.  The children will be asking friends and neighbors around town to support this project by sponsoring them with a pledge.  We ask that everyone please be generous 🙂

We have a variety of reading activities planned for the children and would love to get some of our townsfolk to volunteer as “visiting readers” on Thursday and Friday morning.  Bring a book you’d enjoy sharing with the kids for about 15 minutes or less.  On Thursday morning we have room for about 4 visiting readers.  On Friday morning we’re celebrating Dr Suess’ birthday with a special breakfast and would love to have some folks who’d enjoy reading from Dr Suess.  Anyone interested in being a visiting reader, please call Sue Kidder to make arrangements at 720 561-5940.  Our read-a-thon will have us reading up at the ranch on Wed, and all around the town on Thursday.
