FIRE CHIEF’S MINUTES: Chief Caudill

OPERATIONAL NEEDS:

OPERATIONAL UPDATES:

A training trip for the new Type 6 Engine was conducted this weekend.

Three members went to Yakima to inspect and get trained prior to it being

shipped next week. The chief will provide updates on the trip, when to

expect the engine, and his observations. Max was also in attendance as well

as Austin and Max will provide his observations which he has provided the

board.

Update from our medical advisor about Igel/colormetric capnography

use? Epi? (Discussed last meeting but still waiting to get more

information)

Garage Doors/Concrete Apron update (update will be on agenda

monthly through this process

TECHNOLOGY USE

 

Foam- We will be accepting the ‘donated’ packs and trying out the

UTV skid.

Parking: If a street is too narrow for a fire truck to pass or turn

around (20 feet is the standard minimum width), the Fire

Marshal can mandate “No Parking” signs on one or both sides

of the street.

PARKING/TOURISM/TOWN CONGESTION- As of the most recent Town

Business meeting, suggestions for town survey were put forward but questions

would need to be finalized. This would address two main issues: Noise and

Parking/Congestion/Traffic
