“Thank you for Gold Hill residents Emily Rose, Val Crist, Bear Carlson, Poppy Copeland, David Brigham, Joanne Cole, Amara East, Terry Walter & Rick Geesaman for their help pulling noxious weeds at the bottom of the meadow. Many hands made the work lighter!! We managed to pull the majority of Roman Chamomile/Scentless Chamomile. There are still a few bunches on the road that we address after the ground softens some.

** BUT the area by the meadow fire hydrant is COVERED with them. They are the predominant ground cover, in spite of the revegetation attempts. These noxious weeds can be found throughout Gold Hill…Gold Run Road, the creek bed parallel to the meadow, behind the Inn, etc.

If anyone has ideas of how to better manage this, the Town of Gold Hill would benefit.

Thanks again to everyone for their help. We WILL need to do it again for the health of the meadow.
