Subject: OPEN BURNING PROHIBTED – Red Flag Warning

Good afternoon,

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for areas of Boulder County tomorrow – Wed 8/28.

This means that Open Burning is PROHIBTED for all unincorporated parts of the County. This will be in effect for the entire day – starting at 0001 and lasting until 2359.

Again, please use patience across the mountain areas when making contact with residents and recreationalists. With the Red Flag Warning arising later in the day today, it is probable that some folks will not know about the increase in fire danger levels and the temporary ban on burning.

As always, don’t hesitate to page to the FDO or give me a call on my cell.
