Boulder County looking for feedback on mental health services and supports

Boulder County, Colo. – Boulder County, CO – Boulder County is asking residents to share their experience about getting or trying to get mental health services and supports in the county. Any person who has struggled with a mental health issue, or has known someone who has is invited to fill out a six-question anonymous online survey to share their opinion.
What: Survey about Mental Health Services in Boulder County
Where: OurBoulderCounty.org/community-hope
When: Survey will be available Thursday, April 28 – Thursday, May 12, 2016
“To fully understand how to best improve services in Boulder County we need to hear from those who have experienced those services,” said Chana Goussetis, Boulder County Public Health communication manager. “If you, a family member, or a friend has experience with a mental health or substance use issue, we want to hear from you!”
Any and all residents who have an opinion or experience with this topic are invited to complete the survey.
The survey is a part of an initiative called Community of Hope that is designed to improve the health and well-being of people living in Boulder County. The current focus is on better understanding the needs of people in our community who are struggling with mental health or substance abuse issues, and identifying ways that support, including prevention and treatment, be improved.
Many county residents, along with professionals who provide services and referrals for mental health and substance abuse support, have already been interviewed. The online survey is a chance for all county residents to be heard.
