High Hazard Projects – Status for Week of April 14

Boulder County continues to work in many creek corridors to remove hazards from the creeks, work includes high hazard debris removal, stream bank stabilization, and the removal of hazardous homes. The list below includes both work in progress and work projected to start this week. Please note that project schedules may shift due to several factors, including weather, contractor equipment staging, and the ability to obtain sufficient Right of Entry permissions from property owners.

Lefthand Creek

  • Work is ongoing throughout Lefthand Canyon, including:
    • At and below Lickskillet (mostly woody debris removal)
    • Area surrounding Buckingham Park
    • Streamcrest Drive, NRCS designed and funded creek realignment and sediment removal work

James Canyon

  • Work is ongoing throughout James Canyon

Fourmile Canyon Drive

  • Work is ongoing in upper Fourmile

Apple Valley

  • NRCS designed and funded work in Apple Valley

Little Thompson

  • Work will start week of 4/14
