Shooting Ban!

Posted on: June 27th, 2014
Please thank our Boulder County commissioners and Sylvia Clark, chief ranger for Boulder District for implementing the new recreational shooting ban in our area. We can all now bike and hike and picnic west of town on Rocky point and Switzerland Trail without fear of getting hit by stray bullets! And for  those of us who live west of town, we no longer have to listen to the incessant noise of being under fire. Such a relief! Worries about human started fires have also lessoned with this ban, not to mention less traffic on our dusty, bumpy roads, and much less trash on the trails and roads (bullet casings, cigarette butts, beer bottles.)  A cause for celebration and appreciation, for sure!
Thank you for taking a moment to email, write a letter or call in support of this shooting ban decision.
Here’s to a quiet and safe summer,
