We just received a telephone call from Scott Weaver alerting us to the death of his father last night.  Joe Weaver passed away.  Max tells me that Joe went into the hospital on December 11^th with pneumonia and a stroke.  I have no idea in which order they came but I think that the pneumonia came first.   It’s a very sad way to start 2015 and I’m sorry to have to send this to you but Scott asked us to please alert the town about his father’s passing.

At this point,  the family is looking at January 9^th as the day for the services but it isn’t firm yet.  I’m sure that Sandy Weaver would love to see as many members of the Gold Hill community honoring Joe at his services as possible.  Joe considered Gold Hill home, and, on another note, his house in Gold Hill sold last week.  As soon as I know about a firm date for the services, I’ll let you know.
