Report hazardous high water and flooding

Posted on: May 22nd, 2015

With rising creek levels there may be localized flooding causing concern among the general public. If residents of unincorporated Boulder County believe there is an imminent threat to public safety, a private home, or public infrastructure (such as a bridge or road)  please call either 911 or the Boulder County Road Maintenance Hotline at 303-441-3962. A deputy or road maintenance supervisor will then assess the situation and determine if there is an imminent threat to public safety, a private home, or public infrastructure. If the Sheriff’s Department or Road Maintenance Supervisor determines such a threat exists, the County will mobilize the county resources or on-call contractors to address the threat.

In addition, if you see a situation starting to become a potential problem (e.g., road damage, creek erosion, etc.) contact County Transportation Road Maintenance at 303-441-3962 and they will send someone to assess.

This protocol covers properties in unincorporated Boulder County only. Residents of towns and cities should contact 911 or their community’s street or public works department depending on the severity of the problem or threat.

Thanks,

Garry
