Provide input on Fourmile Watershed Master Plan – Meetings on Nov 5 and 6

Posted on: October 26th, 2014

Dear Community Member,

As you know, a long-term Fourmile Creek Watershed Master Plan is being developed to enable flood recovery and reduce future flood risk. A community kickoff meeting was held in September to provide information and gather community input on focus areas for the Plan. Since that time, the Project Team has studied the watershed and developed project alternatives for the Plan.

Please attend a community meeting to learn about reach-specific project alternatives for the watershed and provide input before the Plan is finalized in late-November

Two community meetings will be held. If you would like to learn about recommendations for the entire watershed, you are welcome to attend both meetings.

Wednesday, November 5, 5:30-7:30 PM – Lower Fourmile Watershed

Reaches1 and 2 – Fourmile Creek from confluence with Boulder Creek to Mile Marker 4 (Upstream of Logan Mill Road)

Commissioners Hearing Room, 3rd Floor of the County Courthouse, 1325 Pearl Street, Boulder, CO

Parking is available in the lot on the north side of the Courthouse.

Thursday, November 6, 5:30-7:30 PM – Upper Fourmile Watershed

Reaches 3 and 4 – Fourmile Creek from Mile Marker 4 to Sunset and Gold Run from Salina Junction to Summerville

The draft Watershed Master Plan will be posted on the Fourmile project website the week of November 3rd. We encourage you to review reach-specific alternatives before the community meetings and come prepared with questions and comments. Comments may be submitted to the project team at fourmilemasterplan@nullmediate.orgthrough November 14th.

Please see the flyer below for more information about the community meetings. Please share this information with others you think will be interested. We look forward to seeing you at the community meetings.
