Pioneers is a documentary film exploring the lives, works, legacies and enduring impact of four dynamic Colorado women artists (1870-1950); Helen Henderson Chain (1849-1892), Jean Wirt Sherwood (1846-1938), Muriel Sibell Wolle (1898-1977), and Eve Drewelowe (1899-1988). These women were artists, adventurers, entrepreneurs and altruists. Their stories highlight the role that women played in shaping and defining society and culture across the Rocky Mountain region.
