NeighborLink

Posted on: August 29th, 2016

We are coming up on the 6th anniversary of the 2010 fire and it’s time to reevaluate and make a few changes to our NeighborLink system.  If you’re new to Gold Hill, you’ll find a NeighborLink form in your Welcome Bucket.  Please take a minute to fill it out and return it to your POD leader.  Over the last 6 years we have been creating and fine-tuning our Emergency Preparedness to include a phone tree (NeighborLInk), a safe place for you to go if you need help or our neighbors outside of Gold Hill need help (SafeLink), and a means to communicate in the event that we lose our electricity and phones (AirLink) and may need assistance from our neighbors or the county.  We have Linked them altogether and now need to find ways to better serve you, the community of Gold Hill.

If you have already signed up for NeighborLink, check out the form that you sent to your POD leader and update it if necessary. Then return it to your POD leader. We’d like to know if you’re happy in the group that you are in and if so, great; however, if you’d like to create your own group or be grouped with a different group of people,  nearby you or not, please let your POD leader know your desire.  We are creating new groups all of the time and adding new group leaders (Neighborhood Co-ordinators).

The POD leaders are as follows:

Gold Run Subdivision                                     Tony Vrba                            303 449 1154                tonyvrba@nullgmail.com

East End of Old Town Gold Hill                    Gretchen Diefenderfer 303 442 3847                gretchend@nullmac.com

West End of Old Town Gold Hill                 Dina Elder                            303 459 3530                dina.elder@nullgmail.com

Old Town Central                                             Debra Yeager                     303 4490454                deb@nullmountainvisions.net

Main, Pine, College, Lickskillet, High Street, Prospector Alley

There are many Neighborhood Co-ordinators (group leaders) in these 4 PODS.  We are looking to create more groups and have more Neighborhood co-ordinators.  If you’d like to assist with this program, need a NeighborLink form, would like to become a HAM radio operator to assist with AirLink, would like to open your home to displaced neighbors outside of Gold Hill, or are willing to participate in the program please let your POD leader know and we’ll be in touch right away. We’d love to have you join us and help us support you in the event of an emergency.
