IT’S COME AROUND AGAIN – LABOR DAY – THAT 5 LETTER WORD!

It’s hard to believe but it’s next weekend and so is the party on the ridge, Max’s special event to thank everyone for your patronage of Yeager Excavating over the last 24 years.  The party begins at 2 pm on Sunday and you’re all invited. People of all sizes and ages are invited in addition to well-behaved and dog-friendly dogs.  For all the new people in town, this is a great time to meet your neighbors and indulge is some fabulous foods and the most magnificent continental divide views in Boulder county.

SPECIFICS

• We provide barbecued ribs and burgers, corn on the cob, beer, some wine, some mixers, water and some non-alcoholic beverages.

You bring your favorite side dish to share and the beverage that you prefer.  Visitors to this event tell us that this is the best town potluck they have ever enjoyed so all of you, keep bringing that fabulous food to share.

• This is a music jam event so bring your instruments. Larry Worster will be heading up the music under a tent with a sound system. There are some special performers this year so be prepared for some great music.
• It’s a rain or shine event and it begins at 2 pm and ends whenever the last person leaves. If you’d like to camp, you are welcome to; however, there will be no water available to you so please provide your own and no campfires.  Plan accordingly for changing weather.  This cabin is off grid.  There is a clean outhouse for your use.
• Bring a flashlight for a late return home.  We have some chairs but there are rocks and if you have a blanket for sitting on the earth, that would be great as well.

DIRECTIONS

BY CAR FROM GOLD HILL:   On the top of Horsfal on your way to Boulder, make a right at the gold mill (3 mailboxes – 1 says Yeager on it).  Bear to your right and park before the sharp right turn at Gretchen and Michael’s house (.6 of a mile in).  If you need to bring your car in to drop off or park because you have a challenge walking, please do; however, if you are able-bodied, please hike in or park next to the road on the way in..

ON FOOT:            Climb Horsfal (Main Street/Sunshine Canyon) to the large dirt area on the right.  Follow the trail back the driveway.  Bear to the right.  The cabin is the last structure on the driveway.

Don’t forget, the party is on Sunday, not Monday.
