I’ve just come back from my Over-The-Road life, so I don’t know if this Monster (Master) Plan of Boulder County Transportation has come up on the radar of people up here. This Plan for the reconstruction of Four Mile Canyon road involves the blasting and excavation of 31,000 cubic yds of the canyon walls, removal of many trees, widening the road, straightening curves, and the confiscation of private property. The beauty of those lichen and fern-covered, weathered granite cliffs and over-arching trees will be gone.
Canyon residents are organizing to make more people aware of this and the first public meeting is just a few days away.

I hope you will consider distributing this information to people up here if it has not already been done.  Sincerely, John Rankin
