Subject: Left Hand Creek Watershed Master Plan Next Steps

 

Hi,

 

Thank you for your participation in the Left Hand Creek Watershed Master Plan process.

 

Now that the master plan is complete, it is time to begin post-master plan coordination and project implementation. One of the coalition partners that helped develop the master plan, the Lefthand Watershed Oversight Group (LWOG), is taking the lead in coordinating stakeholders in the ongoing conversation about the recovery of the watershed. LWOG is currently seeking additional Board members and participants from the Left Hand Creek Watershed Master Plan are encouraged to apply. Applications are due February 13, 2015.

 

The long-term success of creek recovery depends on ongoing involvement from local agencies, landowners, and other stakeholders. We hope you will stay involved with the next steps of flood recovery through LWOG and consider applying for a Board position. Additional information about Board membership is below. The application is also attached.

Subject: LWOG is interested in a few good Board members!

 

The Lefthand Watershed Oversight Group is expanding its Board of Directors to ensure broad, diverse representation of watershed stakeholders as we prepare to help coordinate implementation of long-term flood resilience and watershed health projects recommended in the Left Hand Creek Master Plan.  We would like to fill a few more voting positions on the Board, as well as welcome more ex-officio members.  More information is contained in the attached recruitment letter, which also has a brief application form.

 

If you are interested in applying for a seat on the Board, please feel free to return the application form to Glenn Patterson at the email or P.O. box listed below.  And if you would like to pass on this message to someone else with an interest in the Left Hand Creek Watershed who might be interested, please feel free to do so.
