Emergency Peparedness – exercise April 5

Posted on: March 27th, 2014

The first 72 are on you!

This is the new mantra for emergency preparedness.  Remember, the first 3 days following an emergency event, there is a very good chance that you’ll have to be entirely self-sufficient.  Make sure that you have enough of each of these items to cover 3 days:

Food

Water

Wood or propane for heat

Dog food

Cat food

Pet supplies

First aid supplies

Batteries

Candles

Light sources

Blankets

Fuel, etc.

As we enter spring and the strong possibility of being affected in some way by high levels of run off, we are being reminded to be ready to have to survive without the many facilities.

REMINDER:  WE WILL BE CONDUCTING A MOCK EMERGENCY EVENT ON SATURDAY MORNING, APRIL 5TH BETWEEN 10 AM AND NOON.  IF YOU HAVE SIGNED UP FOR NEIGHBORLINK, YOU WILL BE CONTACTED BY YOUR GROUP LEADER.

OUR GOAL:  TO SEE HOW FAST WE CAN ACTIVATE A MESSAGE OF EMERGENCY IN GOLD HILL

 THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT.
