Key Reminders for Voters:

  1. Too late to mail ballots. Please drop it off at any of our many drop-off locations. All ballots must be received by 7 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, November 8. Postmarks do not count.
  2. Vote early & avoid lines. Whether going to vote in-person or using a drive-by ballot drop-off location, voters should avoid the lines and traffic (we get car back-ups at our drive up locations on Election Day) and vote this weekend if at all possible.
  3. Sign your ballot envelope. Voters should make sure to sign their name as they normally would on their return ballot envelope. All signatures are verified.
  4. Bring ID. Voters must bring a current and valid ID to vote in-person or for any other Voter Service Center transactions. The most common forms of ID used in Boulder County are: Colorado Driver’s License or Colorado state-issued ID, University of Colorado student ID (or other institute of higher education in Colorado with photo), or a U.S. Passport. For a complete list of ID options, visit the Secretary of State’s website: http://www.sos.state.co.us/pubs/elections/vote/acceptableFormsOfID.html or contact our office: 303.413.7766.
  5. Registering to Vote. Voters can save time at a Voter Service Center by registering to vote online at home at www.GoVoteColorado.com and then go in and request a ballot at a Voter Service Center.
  6. Write-in Candidates. If a voter wants to vote for a write-in candidate, the candidate must be an official certified write-in candidate or their vote will not be counted. A list of certified write-in candidates is included in our compiled ballot content on our website.
  7. Track your mail ballot after drop-off.  After a voter drops off their mail ballot, they can visit our website to see when it was processed. It takes about 24-hours (and sometimes a bit longer) to process mail ballots after we receive them.
