**Correction: The Boulder District Attorney’s Office and all services associated with law enforcement, public safety and the 20th Judicial District Court at the Boulder County Justice Center at 6th & Canyon in Boulder and the Courthouse at 1035 Kimbark Street in Longmont will be open for regular business on July 7.**

Boulder County Administrative Offices to be closed Friday, July 4 and Monday, July 7

Emergency and public safety functions will continue on a 24/7 basis; County courts will be open on July 7.

Boulder County, Colo. – This year, in addition to being closed on July 4th in honor of Independence Day, Boulder County administrative offices will also be closed on Monday, July 7.

  • County services that will not be available during the closure include: Administrative offices for county elected officials (Assessor, Clerk & Recorder, Coroner, County Commissioners, DA, Sheriff, Treasurer), Flood Rebuilding & Permit Information Center, Housing & Human Services, Household Hazardous Materials Management Facility, Land Use/Transportation Planning & Engineering, Motor Vehicle, Property & Records, Public Health, Tax payments, and all other Administrative functions.
  • County Courts will be closed on July 4th, but open on July 7th. 
  • Emergency response, law enforcement, public safety and all designated 24/7 county services such as the jail and on-call road maintenance, will continue to work a regular schedule. The jail, however, does not permit public visitations on county holidays, including both of these dates.
  • County open space properties are open to the public from sunrise to sunset daily, including holidays. Rangers will continue to patrol facilities during the administrative closures. Visit: www.BoulderCountyOpenSpace.org for a list of county Parks & Open Space properties.
  • The Boulder County Hazardous Materials Management Facility (HMMF) will be closed on Friday, July 4 and Saturday, July 5 in observance of Independence Day.
