*Join us Thursday at our Wildfire Mitigation Home Retrofit Workshop
Join us for a wildfire home retrofit workshop on Thursday, Jan. 22 at 2pm. Unlike some of our past trainings, this workshop is designed specifically for handymen and contractors.

We need your help! Do you have handymen/contractors that are your go to for home repairs? If yes, please contact them and let them know about this workshop (or send us their contact info and we will call them).

Workshop Description:
Many of the 9,000 homes in western Boulder County are in need of minor retrofits to reduce their vulnerability to wildfire. Homeowners and Wildfire Partners are actively soliciting contractors to perform this work and fill the current void in the marketplace.

Workshop participants will learn about ignition-resistant retrofit work, explore future changes to Boulder County building codes, and discuss best practices for building or retrofitting at-risk homes. Ignition-resistant retrofit work often consists of simple and inexpensive changes to help a home survive a wildfire.

What:  Wildfire Mitigation Home Retrofit Workshop
When:  2 to 4 p.m., Thursday, January 22, 2015
Where:  Boulder County Clerk & Recorder, 1750 33rd St., Boulder
